Evansville Teacher Seeking Help For Saipan Community Destroyed By Typhoon

Super Typhoon Sinlaku Strikes Island, Evansville Teacher Currently Teaching On

Kristi Price has been teaching your children in the tri-state area for over eight years, primarily as a substitute or contract teacher. Price taught primarily at Highland and Hebron Elementary schools in Evansville, but has taught throughout the tri-state, which led her to seek more. When the opportunity presented itself to teach at a school in the United States Territory of Saipan, Price couldn’t pass it up. In the brief conversations I’ve had with Kristi, it’s evident to me that she felt a higher calling to help these children. Doing the duty of her calling, Price is now reaching out and asking for help for these children as they piece together a torn community. The island of Saipan was recently hit by Super Typhoon Sinlaku, which destroyed the community Price is currently living and teaching in for the 2025-2026 school year. Her mission of education has now turned into a mission of complete rebuilding. Check out the pictures below of some of the damage to their community.
