Electrical malfunction sparks Nob Hill’s second fire in around two months

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A kitchen fire inside a fifth-floor apartment at Nob Hill Apartments prompted a swift evacuation of Building 1 Tuesday afternoon, sending smoke through the hallway of floor five and bringing back painful memories for residents still recovering from a deadly fire at the complex earlier this year.

This incident comes as records from the New York State Unified Court System show multiple motions scheduled for May 6, involving the property, including filings listed for both courtroom and administrative handling.
