Lawmakers are weighing a new plan to raise Hennepin County’s sales tax as they look for a way to keep Hennepin County Medical Center open.
A bill discussed by the House Taxes Committee on Tuesday would raise the Hennepin County sales tax from .15 per cent to .75 per cent to help cover labor, supplies, equipment and infrastructure at Hennepin County Medical Center.
