Roseville residents spent Saturday morning clearing branches, leaves and piles of hail after a fast‑moving storm dropped pea-sized to golf-ball-sized ice in minutes.
What looked like snow piling up in June left behind cracked branches, shredded plants, and dents on cars from Roseville to Maplewood, North St. Paul, and Woodbury.
Most of the hail had melted by sunrise, but pockets of ice were still intact in shaded yards and along driveways. A neighbor’s time‑lapse video showed hail stacking several inches deep in about eight minutes.
