South Carolina twin brothers share same goal of making it to NASCAR

DARLINGTON, S.C. (QUEEN CITY HOMETOWN) — Trophies have an ability – they can speak without saying a single word. But what they don’t show is what it took to earn them.“Pretty much every night of the week we come back and work for at least two hours or so just in the afternoons, almost every single night of the week,” Cody Kelley said.

Driving through Darlington County, South Carolina, you’d probably miss it. A shop that once held farm equipment is not where racecars are built.“It’s everything.  All the speed you find is going to be in the shop,” Cody said. “So, it’s really the biggest role in racing really for us.”He said ‘us’ because it’s not just one race. It’s two. “I’m Cody, and I’m Casey,” they said, laughing. “The only way that they can tell us apart at the track is the name on our driving suit,” Casey said.

The twin brothers work together, fix their cars together, and sometimes race against each other. “We race each other with respect, but we race hard. We want to beat each other, but we also want to see each other do good,” Casey said.

“There have been four races. I’ve won two, and he won two. You can’t make it up,” Cody said while laughing…
