MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A Mobile man turned a one-day restaurant promotion into a road trip across the region Wednesday, visiting 10 Firehouse Subs locations to collect free sandwiches.
Michael Hill packed empty coolers with ice packs and set out to claim free subs at Firehouse Subs restaurants on both sides of Mobile Bay. The chain offered free steak and cheese melts to anyone named Michael, Mikey, Miguel, Michele, Michelle or Michaela.
“When I first heard about this promotion, first thing I did was tap on the map/GPS and say oh my god 10..okay..where?..had to go all the way down in Foley,” Hill said…
