The City of Chester can boast about many accomplishments in its 382-year storied history, not the least among them is the city’s incredible sports traditions and history. Last Saturday (May 2) that history came to life in the form of a Storybook Walk located in Eyre Park directly across from Chester High School (CHS) on 9th St.
The permanent installation featured more than 20 interactive displays showcasing athletes, coaches, and teams that have represented the city dating back to the 1800’s up to today’s champions.
Hosted by primary sponsors Youth Development United, Widener University, Chester City, the Chester Upland School District, All About Youth, and The Trippley Foundation, the four-hour event included sports clinics, food vendors, art installations and activities, photo opportunities, equipment and sports apparel give aways…
