Gov Meyer Announces Accelerated Community Solar Projects – 2 in the Seaford Area

Governor Matt Meyer has announced the acceptance of four community solar projects in the JobsFirst Permitting Accelerator, which was established through Executive Order 18. These projects represent over 16 megawatts of new solar generation capacity and are located in Sussex and New Castle Counties and developed by ECA Power. The Sussex County projects are in Seaford – Lonesome Road and Woodpecker Road Community Energy Initiatives. The JobsFirst Permitting Accelerator is designed to reduce permitting timelines for key projects in energy, housing, water, broadband and more.

  • Townsend Community Energy Initiative in Townsend
  • Clayton Community Energy Initiative Phase I and II in Clayton
