MADISON, Wis. — Due to the grand opening of The Center for Black Excellence and Culture on Madison’s south side on Wednesday, the City of Madison announced street closures.
West Badger Road will close from South Park Street to Tulip Lane from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Access will be maintained for those who live off of West Badger Road and Madison Metro buses, and people should plan on extra travel time when traveling in the area.
The facility will house theaters, art galleries, recording studios, classrooms, and intergenerational spaces designed to bring people of all ages together. The center’s mission extends beyond cultural programming to economic development…
