DANE COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – Officials with the Wisconsin DNR are warning of the potential incidental taking of two state-endangered animals due to an expansion project in southern Wisconsin.
Due to the Tim Andrews Horticulture Expansion Project in Dane County, the Wisconsin DNR has proposed to issue a permit for the incidental taking of a rare lizard and turtle that may result from the project.

Tim Andrews Horticulture has proposed to expand a gravel parking and storage area into adjacent undeveloped land. The DNR’s release states that the project area will be roughly 1.23 acres, with 0.88 acres of temporary impacts and 0.35 acres of permanent impacts.
