SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – The City of Sioux Falls is sharing reminders to promote better property practices as warmer weather approaches.
The City of Sioux Falls says all residential, commercial, industrial, and city properties must follow these guidelines:
- Lawn watering is not allowed from noon to 5 p.m.
- Even-numbered addresses may water their lawns on even-numbered calendar dates
- Odd-numbered addresses may water their lawns on odd-numbered calendar dates
- Hand-watering vegetation is allowed at any time if using a non-leaking hose with a handheld nozzle
City ordinance also requires grass and weeds in yards to remain under 8 inches in height.
Additionally, a permit is required for a new lawn. If a resident would like to plant a tree, they must obtain a street tree planting permit. $100 vouchers are offered to residents upon permit approval…
