DETROIT, MI – Drivers on Interstate 94 west of Detroit will see major lane restrictions and ramp closures starting this weekend as MDOT ramps up its $353 million Restore 94 reconstruction project.
Beginning at 5 a.m. Saturday, both eastbound and westbound I-94 between Interstate 275 and U.S. 12 will be reduced to two lanes through late July as crews begin work along the nearly 13-mile corridor stretching from Romulus to the Dearborn-Detroit border.
Additional restrictions and closures are expected throughout the project, some lasting only days while others will continue into the fall…
