KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Deanna Rogers walked into a room full of applause at East High School, then realized the celebration was for her.
Rogers, who has taught for nearly six decades, received the inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award as part of SchoolSmartKC’s Excellence in Education Awards. The honor came with a $20,000 check.
