‘Good Morning America’ will be live on a WSF ferry during WA broadcast

Washington is next up for GMA’s “America the Beautiful: 50 States in 50 Weeks,” a program that broadcasts from each state in order they joined the U.S. The series started last July with a segment filmed in Delaware and will coincide with the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 2026.

The segment will be filmed aboard a special Seattle to Bainbridge Island sailing on the morning of Thursday, May 7, according to the Seattle Times. The live 4 a.m. PST broadcast will align with the ABC program’s usual airtime of 7 a.m. EST. The segment will air on tape delay at 7 a.m. PST for West Coat viewers.

GMA also filmed a segment earlier this week with Puget Sound Express, a local family-owned whale watching tour company, that will air alongside the live broadcast.
