PEORIA, Ariz. — Peoria police are continuing to investigate whether educators at Centennial High School fulfilled their legal obligations to report possible signs of abuse involving a student and two former teachers accused of sexual misconduct.
Under Arizona law, teachers, administrators, coaches and others who work with children are considered mandatory reporters. That means they are required to notify law enforcement or the Department of Child Safety when they reasonably suspect abuse or neglect.
