Man fatally struck after stepping out of car on I-95 in Cumberland County: NCSHP

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — A man is dead after being struck by a vehicle on Interstate 95 in Cumberland County on Thursday morning, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol said.

According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 7:23 a.m. at mile marker 46 near Fayetteville and N.C. 87.

An investigation determined a man had parked his vehicle on I-95 and stepped onto the highway when he was hit, according to the NCSHP.
