Nashville airport announces implementation of new machine to assist baggage handlers

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Nashville International Airport announced Wednesday that it has begun using a new machine that baggage handlers.

BNA said the new makeup unit is a “machine that baggage handlers use to gather, sort and load checked passenger baggage before the bags are transported to an aircraft.”

The new machine was tested using blocks weighing nearly 20,000 pounds before it was implemented to make sure it could support the airport’s passenger baggage needs…
