City of Central Falls receives first payment from Wyatt since 2021

For the first time in five years, the corporation that oversees the Donald W. Wyatt Detention Facility has made a payment to the city of Central Falls.

The reasons for the $250,000 payment to the city for hosting the 770-bed quasi-private facility that serves as Rhode Island’s only Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention center were not immediately clear.
