Nine people, including a woman from Orange, have been arrested in connection with what investigators describe as a large-scale contraband smuggling operation targeting a Texas prison unit.
According to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice’s Office of Inspector General, the suspects are accused of using several methods — including drones — to introduce contraband into the Memorial Unit throughout 2025.
