San Jacinto River Authority releasing water from Lake Conroe due to heavy rains

The San Jacinto River Authority is releasing water from Lake Conroe following heavy rain this week, partially due to Gulf impacts from the newly-formed Tropical Storm Arthur.

Officials are releasing 529 cubic feet of water per second, according to the authority’s website. Water will continue to flow through the dam gates as rain continues.
