Springfield St. Elizabeth Ann Seton students raise money for St. Jude patient

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Students at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton spent the day pedaling for a purpose, riding their bikes around the school to raise money for a local St. Jude patient named Ruby.

The pre-K class has been practicing since September, and with help from the whole school, they have raised just under $4,000 for St. Jude. Teachers said even the youngest students stepped up in their own ways.

“It just touches our hearts and my little kids’ hearts too,” said St. Elizabeth Ann Seton teacher Sarah Moses. “I had one little guy who donated 12 dollars from his piggy bank. I know, so sweet. So they all donate money in their own little ways. We had some second-grade children in our class in our school that made little bracelets, and they sold them, and they raised a hundred dollars and donated it to St. Jude’s in honor of Ruby.”…
