Years after details of the project initially were being hammered out, the Indianola Avenue Resurfacing and Bikeways Project is scheduled to roll through the community this month.
While preliminary work to improve sidewalks and curbs, and install a series of bumpouts, already has taken place, the major roadwork begins the first week of May.
According to Debbie Briner, public relations specialist for the Department of Public Services, milling of the old pavement on Indianola will begin at Hudson Street and move north.
