Officials urge drivers to stay alert after two fatal motorcycle crashes near Newark

After two motorcyclists died in separate crashes near Newark on Tuesday, officials are warning motorists to stay alert on the road.

“It is the responsibility of every driver and motorcyclist to do their part in making Delaware roads safer for all who travel on them,” said Amy Anthony, director of the Delaware Division of Motor Vehicles. “Drivers must watch for motorcycles as they are smaller and more difficult to see, and motorcyclists need to constantly stay alert, be conscious of their surroundings and the actions of other drivers.”
