University of Iowa student accused of raping incapacitated woman at campus dorm

IOWA CITY, Iowa (IOWA’S NEWS NOW) — A 19-year-old University of Iowa student is accused of sexually assaulting a woman who was intoxicated and incapacitated earlier this year at Hillcrest Hall.

Cameron Frattalone bonded out of the Johnson County Jail on Wednesday after his first court appearance on a charge of third-degree sexual abuse. He’s been allowed to leave the state to live with his parents in Minnesota while he waits for trial.

Court filings show Frattalone is accused of assaulting the woman at Hillcrest on February 8. Investigators say video evidence shows the woman unconscious at a downtown bar on February 7 before vomiting and being carried from an Uber to the dorm by Frattalone and another person…
