A NO-MOW initiative may be scrapped after cities discovered that it has no effect on promoting pollination – and could actually be putting homeowners’ health at risk.

No Mow May became popular in 2019 to support bees and other pollinators.

The concept was formed by British conservation group Plantlife, which advocates for homeowners to let their grass, clovers, and dandelions to grow wild during the month of May.
