A 400-plus home development is being considered near Blythewood; some are raising concerns

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — Richland County officials are considering a proposed development that plans to bring more than 400 homes to the Blythewood area. But while the developer says the plan fits the area, some neighbors say it could change the community’s rural character.

More than 150 acres of land in the Blythewood area could soon be rezoned to make way for a large new housing development.
