ROCKVALE, Tenn. (WGNS) – A familiar face is taking the top job at Rockvale High School. Rutherford County Schools Director Jimmy Sullivan named Dr. Meagan Turnbow the school’s next principal. Turnbow currently works as the district’s ESL coordinator and previously served as an assistant principal at Riverdale High School. Dr. Sullivan says Turnbow’s experience at both the school and district levels gives her a unique advantage in leading a large high school.
Turnbow is no stranger to the Rockvale area. She lives in the community and her own children attend Rockvale schools. She says she looks forward to being part of her hometown team and seeing the students she serves every day. Turnbow will replace Steve Luker who has served as the only principal of the school since it opened its doors in 2019. Luker recently announced his retirement effective at the end of this school year. Turnbow plans to meet with Luker immediately to ensure a smooth transition for students and staff…
