In-N-Out manager struck by driver before Sonoma County police standoff

A Santa Rosa man was arrested Friday after police said he struck an In-N-Out Burger manager with a vehicle in Rohnert Park, fled and was later linked to vandalism reports in Cotati before a brief standoff with officers.

Nicholas O’Rourke, 44, was booked into Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, vandalism, resisting or obstructing an officer and violating probation, according to the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety.

The incident began about 1:03 p.m., when officers were called to the parking lot of the Rohnert Park In-N-Out Burger on Redwood Drive for a report of someone spray-painting pavement, police said…
