North Carolina detective terminated following arrest on perjury charges

SCOTLAND COUNTY, N.C. (WBTW) — A Scotland County Sheriff’s Office detective has been fired following his arrest on multiple perjury charges, officials said.

Christopher Maurice Omeni was taken into custody Friday at his Hoke County home after an investigation concerning sworn documents he submitted.
