Naman Patel has been living in Lebanon County as an immigrant since he was 3-years-old. The now 18-year-old University of Pittsburgh student originally said he started the process of becoming a citizen to formalize being part of the country that he knows as home.
“I decided to become a U.S. citizen because I know I’m not going to live in India, and this is where my home is,” he said. “This is where I’m going to be living for the rest of my life.”
On Friday, May 8, Patel joined 20 others at the Lebanon County Courthouse to finalize their journey to become citizens at the Lebanon County Naturalization Ceremony.
