The South Carolina Gamecocks had an early exit in the SEC Tournament earlier this week, falling 2-0 to Ole Miss in the first round. While the Rebels went on to beat Tennessee but lose to Texas in the quarterfinals, South Carolina had simply to sit and wait for its postseason fate.
Ahead of Sunday evening’s selection show, Softball America’s Brady Vernon released his final regional projections, including where the Gamecocks will play next.
The outlet has South Carolina getting a No. 7 seed, and traveling to Lincoln, Neb. to take on the hosting Nebraska Cornhuskers.
