John Kirby O’Brien,33 of LaFayette, was arrested at Atrium Health Floyd after reports said he struck another man.
Reports said that the victim was left with swelling and redness to the facial area between the nose and eye. Police said that O’Brien’s violent actions resulted in multiple people being placed in fear for their safety. He is also accused of hindering emergency medical professionals who were attempting to provide care to a patient in the E.R.
Police officers added that when they attempted to take O’Brien into custody, he refused to cooperate…
