RivCo and IE Issue Heat Advisory

An heat advisory was in effect in parts of Riverside County and the Inland Empire Monday, issued by the National Weather Service and will remain in effect until 8 p.m. with high temperatures expected to hit around the 95 degree mark.

“High pressure will continue the warming today with high temperatures for the mountains, deserts, and far inland valleys 15 to 20 degrees above average,” said the NWS. “High temperatures for today will range from around 70 near the coast to the 90s for the Inland Empire with 105 to 110 for the lower deserts. ”

Sunday’s highs reached 90 in the downtown Riverside area, 86 in Temecula, 93 in Hemet, and 107 in the Coachella Valley and Palm Springs, according to the National Weather Service…
