LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — An Ephrata man is charged after the police claim he left a 7-year-old unattended in a car in March while he played on “skill machines” inside a convenience store.
On March 29, 2026, the Ephrata Police Department charged Jason Eddy, 39, with one count of endangering the welfare of children after being called to the Ephrata Food Mart and Smokeshop two weeks prior.
At the store on the 100 block of South Reading Road, the police learned that a 7-year-old had been left in the car alone while Eddy reportedly played on skill machines inside for over an hour…
