LANSING, Mich. (WILX) — Communities across Mid-Michigan celebrated Mother’s Day on Sunday with events honoring moms.
Brand New Festival in Williamston
A pop-up event called the Brand New Festival was held Sunday afternoon at McCormick Park in Williamston.
Mothers were able to get a massage and take advantage of a meditation station. Kids who attended were able to make their mom a card and see Elsa from the movie “Frozen” and Glinda from “Wizard of Oz.”
“It’s spring and everything’s brand new. And we just would like to honor our moms,” said Susan Byrd, events coordinator. “And it was just a nice combination of everything new and green and brand new.”…
