Honor Flight is a nonprofit that takes veterans to visit memorials built in their honor, giving many a chance to see them for the very first time.
According to Honor Flight Kentucky, it has taken more than 2,000 veterans to the nation’s capital since it started in 2015.
Family, friends, and supporters packed the terminal on May 9 to cheer on the veterans as they made their way home.
