PETALUMA, Calif. (KRON) — Police arrested a Petaluma man Saturday night for suspected driving under the influence after a short car chase when he refused to yield.
Around 10:19 p.m., officers with the Petaluma Police Department said they saw a driver they suspect was under the influence in the area of Lakeville Street and Caulfield Lane, specifically noting that the driver was unable to stay in its lane.
Police said they attempted to pull the driver over in the area of Casa Grande Road near Lakeville Highway, but he refused to yield to the officer’s lights and sirens. A police pursuit was initiated that lasted about a mile and got up to 65 miles per hour, according to police.
