While we did have a little bit of wet weather for Mother’s Day, thankfully, it didn’t ruin too many plans. We started the day with sunshine, with only light sprinkles and scattered showers moving through to finish off the evening.
As we wrap up this round of rain, it’s going to be very difficult for the next wave of precipitation to move in. Both rain and storm chances will face an uphill battle throughout much of the upcoming week.
A well-defined ridge is building to our west, while a trough in the jet stream remains to the east. This setup will help inhibit widespread precipitation. That doesn’t mean rain will be impossible this week, just much harder to come by…
