COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Columbus Technical College officials honored the Spring 2026 Practical Nursing graduates with a pinning ceremony on Monday, marking a milestone toward the students’ careers in healthcare.
Family members, students, and friends gathered at the campus’s McCaulley Auditorium to celebrate the graduating class.
According to officials, the ceremonial pinning is a cherished moment for nursing students that represents the transition from students to healthcare professionals.
The program recited “The Nightingale Pledge” during the ceremony, which officials said is a long-standing tradition that symbolizes the graduates’ commitment to compassionate, ethical, and professional patient care.
“The pinning ceremony is a special occasion that recognizes not only academic achievement but also the calling these graduates have chosen—to care for others,” said Dr. Matt Dennis, Associate Vice President for the Division of Health Science and Nursing. “We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments and look forward to the positive impact they will make in our community.”…
