Chapman’s Brewing Co. closes its doors after 14 years

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A brewery is closing its doors after serving the greater Fort Wayne area for fourteen years.

Chapman’s Brewing Company announced the closure on the brewery’s Facebook page on Monday. The post states that the closure is due to financial hardships caused by the brewery’s operations becoming unsustainable, despite efforts to prevent it.

“To every employee, customer, mug club member, musician, vendor, and supporter who has been part of Chapman’s over the years, thank you. None of this would have been possible without you,” the post reads.

The company was founded in 2012 by Scott Fergusson. Fergusson and his team have made a mark on northeast Indiana by opening many taprooms across the area, including in Angola, Columbia City, and the Fort Wayne International Airport. The brewery moved into its Electric Works location in 2024…
