(KRON) — The Santa Clara Public Health Department is monitoring a Santa Clara County resident who returned to California after being exposed to the Andes Hantavirus.
The outbreak started aboard the MV Hondius cruise ship, carrying more than 140 passengers from all over the world.
Since the outbreak, three people have died, and five passengers who left the ship were confirmed to be infected with Hantavirus.
