Our Mother’s Day cold front held out long enough for Mom to enjoy lots of beautiful sunshine yesterday. That cold front will move in later this evening and bring a low chance of strong and severe storms. Monday will be a mixed bag – some clouds, some sun, warm temperatures, and evening storms.
Through the early afternoon, the area remains dry with a mostly cloudy sky. By late afternoon into this evening, a cold front will slowly track across the area. Scattered showers and storms will fire up along the front. Not everyone will see rain. Warm afternoon temperatures near 90 degrees will fuel some storms. Isolated storms could become severe, with our main risk of damaging winds and hail. A quick spin-up is possible…
