Waterloo man sentenced to federal prison for weapons offense

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – A Waterloo man was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in federal prison for possessing a gun as a felon.

34-year-old Christopher Roby pleaded guilty to the charge last December.

In court, Roby admitted that he owned a 9mm pistol and had been previously convicted of multiple felony offenses, including first-degree burglary, domestic abuse assault strangulation with injury, felon in possession of a firearm, and intimidation with a weapon…
