Teen athlete remembered at Northwest DC high school after fatal shooting

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Students and staff at Jackson-Reed High School are mourning the loss of an 18-year-old student-athlete who was shot and killed just weeks before graduation.

Police said Brady Flowers was found suffering from a gunshot wound in an alleyway on Wisconsin Avenue Northwest in Tenleytown on Thursday. He later died from his injuries.

Students and staff said the football team held a moment of silence in his honor inside the school on Monday.
