SPOKANE, Wash. — In an interview with NonStop Local, U.S. Rep. Michael Baumgartner said gas prices, farm support and college sports changes are among the issues he believes matter most in Eastern Washington.
Baumgartner linked high gas prices in Washington to state policy and said he has called on Gov. Bob Ferguson to remove taxes tied to the Climate Commitment Act. He said Olympia could act now to lower prices for drivers and farmers.
“Yes, I have called for Governor Ferguson to temporarily remove those taxes. Of course, I think they should be permanently removed,” Baumgartner said…
