PUTNAM VALLEY – A 22-year-old resident of the Bronx is lucky to be alive after losing control of his Corvette on the Taconic State Parkway in Putnam Valley during torrential rain.
State Police said the driver, Mamadou Camara, got out of the wrecked Corvette after it became wedged under the center-median guardrail on the narrow, winding highway.
Members of the Putnam Valley Fire Department, Putnam Valley Volunteer Ambulance Corps, and a Putnam Empress Paramedic responded and triaged the sole occupant of the demolished vehicle before transporting him to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries following the Saturday incident…
