OHIO COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) — As gas prices continue to climb some first responders say it is putting a strain on the budget.
Ohio County Sheriff Adam Wright says on average the office spends eight to ten thousand dollars on fuel weekly. Due to the war in Iran and the subsequent rising gas prices he says the weekly total has gone up significantly over the past several weeks.
“We are not going to cut down on patrols,” Wright said. “We are going to keep it going as normal. They expect to see our cars driving the backgrounds and so we are going to continue do that”…
