LASA cleared after bomb threat call, AISD says ‘nothing suspicious’ was found

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Students and staff at the Liberal Arts and Science Academy are currently on a “hold” after the school received a bomb threat call Monday afternoon, according to a message sent to parents.

School officials wrote, in an update to parents, that “we do not believe that there is any credibility to the threat.”

They noted that the Texas Department of Public Safety dogs conducted a search of campus, with no suspicious items found so far, Austin ISD said. The district said parents should stay away from campus while AISD Police and DPS conduct a precautionary sweep…
