Plano Symphony Orchestra Appoints New Director Of Development

Plano Symphony Orchestra is entering its next chapter of growth with a new addition to its leadership team. The organization recently announced the appointment of Margaret M. Finley as its new director of development, bringing more than 20 years of experience in fundraising, donor engagement and nonprofit leadership to the role.

Finley’s hiring comes during a period of continued momentum for the Plano Symphony Orchestra, which has expanded both its fundraising efforts and community presence in recent years.

A Background Rooted In Both Arts And Philanthropy

Finley arrives with experience spanning education, nonprofit development and the performing arts world. Most recently, she served as director of development at Mount St. Michael Catholic School, overseeing donor relations, fundraising initiatives and grant management. Earlier leadership roles included positions with The Ireland Funds Texas and Catholic Pro-Life Community, where she directed large-scale fundraising campaigns and managed multimillion-dollar development operations.

Her connection to the arts dates back even further. Finley previously worked with organizations including the New York City Ballet and also completed internships with Carnegie Hall and the Big Apple Circus, experiences that helped shape her long-term passion for arts administration and cultural engagement.
