Opelousas man learns of family ties to Pope Leo XIV

ST, LANDRY PARISH, La. (KLFY) — A group of individuals with family ties to Pope Leo XIV will journey to Rome from June 14 to June 23 to meet the Holy Father.

This trip stems from the discovery by Charles Richard, a deacon at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in St. Landry Parish, that he and the Pope share a common ancestor.
